APPLICATION AND USE

PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES
In Good Condition: Wash with Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and let dry.
In Poor Condition: Remove all previous coatings to solid material and filling with Interfill 830.

INTERFILL 830: Sand / polish. Remove all sanding residue of blasting using compressed air and then wipe clean. Vacuum clean for best results. For more information regarding sanding refer to the brochure "The Importance of Good Sanding".

METHOD
Apply the filler using a trowel to ensure a good spread and compression. It will then be necessary to go over again while the filler is still wet, from the bottom upwards and vice versa to remove any excess. Apply one or two coats of Epoxy Finishing Filler according to the surface and the required profile. Sand between coats with 120 grit paper.  Refer to the leaflet "The Importance of Good Sanding" for tips on sanding the final coats.

USEFUL TIPS
Mixing: Ensure that the correct mixing ratio (by volume) is observed. If the components are too thick, for example if they have been stored at low temperatures, mix each component separately. Mix the two components thoroughly to obtain a homogenous mixture with a uniform color.

Thinning: Do not thin under any circumstances.
Cleaner: Thinners No.7

Control of ventilation and moisture: To obtain a sufficient curing, the maximum relative air humidity should not exceed 80%.

OTHER
The thickness of the film depends on various factors such as surface roughness, the method and conditions of application. At a temperature comprised between 10 ° C and 15 ° C (below 10 ° C the curing does not take place) on the surface it may form a sticky film after application. The properties of sanding and adhesion may be compromised if the product is applied and / or catalyze done at a temperature comprised between 10 ° C and 15 ° C. If the product is applied and / or catalyze done at a temperature between 10 ° C and 15 ° C, the surface should be cleaned with warm water or Thinners No.7 and allowed to dry before applying further coats. To avoid the possible formation of a sticky film, it is best if drying and curing of Epoxy Finishing Filler is done at temperatures above 15 ° C. To prevent porosity, apply the last coat of Epoxy Finishing Filler at a low thickness.

IMPORTANT POINTS
Ambient temperature should be minimum 10 ° C / 50 ° F and maximum 35 ° C / 95 ° F. Substrate temperature should be minimum 10 ° C / 50 ° F and maximum 35 ° C / 95 ° F. Product temperature should not be lower than 10 ° C / 50 ° F and above 35 ° C / 95 ° F. The surface temperature should be at least 3 ° C above the dew point to avoid condensation. It is not recommended to apply the product under adverse weather conditions. The coverage varies according to a number of factors, including shape of the yacht, surface roughness, method of application being used and conditions of application. When applied below the waterline, the filler should always be covered with a complete cycle (see individual specifications).

COMPATIBILITY / SUBSTRATES
GRP: It can be applied over Epoxy GP Coating or Interfill 830.
